| Richard Nonas

A trained anthropologist, Richard Nonas (born in New York in 1936) has spent long periods among the Canadian Eskimos and in the desert of Mexico, far from Western civilization.
An environmental sculptur of international fame, Richard Nonas returned to Italy after being away for almost thirty years.
Working with materials from nature such as wood, stone and metal, the artist has remained true to his beliefs at the cost of consciously disassociating himself from the contemporary art world.
